Winter FOTD

Hi guys! How are you all doing on this beautiful beautiful day?

The weather is absolutely ridiculously amazing here in Gainesville. It's chilly yet still sunny. I love love love this weather. I wish I could be outside all day instead of getting stuck here inside the library. Si senoritas...my thesis part 3 is due this Thursday...and I've yet to start. I know, I know, it's my fault, but hey, a part of being young is mastering the ability to procrastinate, no?

Anyways, since today's kinda cold, I did a "photoshoot" with my cozy winter down jacket. Yes, I felt like an Eskimo. I love this jacket though. It totally saved my ass in Hungary when it was 5 degree Celsius.

Le Look:

What I used:

Face:
--Skinfood Aloe BB Cream as foundation
--Coverblend concealer under the eyes (my dark circles are HORRENDOUS)
--EDM Start to Finish to set (forgot the color)

Cheeks:
--NYX Taupe blush to contour
--Trucco blush in maple.... or something (sorry, I'm really bad w/ names. I'm in the lib right now, so i will check when I get home. I LOVE this blush though. )
--Stila Kitten e/s to highlight

Eyes:
--Stila smudgepot in black on top
--L'oreal HIP chrome e/l in Blue as bottom liner. (LOOOOVE this! It's even better than UD 24/7 e/l)
--L'oreal HIP chrome e/l in Silver on the inner corner and waterline. (this is like liquid silver. hawtness!)

Lips:
--nothing, I threw on some Blistex Deep Renewal later though. That stuff is awesome.

Sorry, no close ups this time...but CAMWHORING starts in 3....2....1!

My cool face

Kisses for my readers!

I was wearing China Glaze n/p in Pure Elegance. It's very soft and feminine.

Am I too old to play coy?

Goofy face never fails...

Last but not least, Tao laughing her ass off, AKA my fave!

I hope you enjoyed that. I know it's difficult to stay positive in this world that's gone mad with efficiency, assignment, deadlines, etc, but please try to stop and smell the roses. Appreciate the little things in life, such as the beautiful weather, will allow us to stay sane for just a little longer.

Take care and remember to smile.

Study Tour in Hungary...(part 1)

was AWESOME!!

We went to Budapest as a study abroad thing over the Fall break. It was only for a week, which as great because drama was starting at the end of the week. We basically listened to various lectures during the day, and drank $2 bottles of wine +playing card games at night. By we, I mean the group of sober good kids who go sightseeing after the lectures during the day. Make no mistake, there's also that HUUUUUUGE group of getting hammered every night "popular" Greek ppl who spent their mornings puking their brains out.

However, I feel like it was the people that made my experience pleasurable. Budapest and Vienna were nothing like the Europe I imagined, especially for Vienna. I had this image of this rich cultural feel for all the European countries, but I guess globalization changed that. We had McD's, KFC, Subway, Nike, etc right across our hotel, which was Radisson. It was like we were still in the USA, except people were speaking a different language. Everything was grey and grafittied on, and according to some natives we spoke with, the grafitties really bothered them as well.

I'm still glad I went on this trip with everyone. I definitely bonded with a lot of people. I changed my opinions about a lot of them too. To be honest, I feel that this will be the last true vacation any of us will have for a very long time. After we graduate from our master program, we are either getting jobs or be too broke for any travelling. Either way, we won't have any time or resources for any international traveling. This will be the last time when we can be us, completely free of worry and reservations. I'm glad we had the chance to release our youth.

Picture time!

Emily and I ran into some of our classmates unexpectedly in Charlette airport in North Carolina.

YAY! We made it to Munich!

On our way to Budapest. That 3 hr bus ride was like a lullaby.

Some pics of the artitecture/sculptures.

House of Terror! Imagine my disappointment when I found out it wasn't a haunted house, but instead it's about Communism (which is still pretty scary).

One of their famous spas.

People shots!

My friends and I in front of Hero's Square.

Our little tour group in front of the Parliament.

This is our failed attempt at showing "More bars in more places".

After visiting the State park, my friends and I are convinced that Harry Potter characters were inspired by the statues here. Case in point, this Anonymous statue is EXACTLY like Voldemor.

At one of our business meetings.

Camwhores will be camwhores no matter where they are. This was after a Porche lecture.

This chocolate is OFF THE HOOK!! It has chocolate, almond, and hazelnut cream all in one. AMAZINGNESS!

Hi honey, I'm home!

But I'm totally exhausted, so please give me a few days to recoup. I will be back to my normal self sometime next week. So expect a lot of pictures and videos.

My lost my voice though. Late nights+freezingness+surrounded by sick people=I sound like Lindsay Lohan. I'm not sick sick, I just lost my voice.

Oh, and FYI, I officially abhor babies now. Especially babies on international flights. 10 hrs w/ 2 babies sitting right behind me? I think that just made me sterile.

Anyways, I love you all, and I will see you soon!

One last post before I go....

Hey guys! Thank you so so so much for the support I've received after the last post. I'm really appreciative of all the positive comment. I'm really sorry that I caused some of you to be really worried... I want to let all of you know that I truly truly love each and every one of you. I wouldn't be here without all of your support.

Tomorrow morning (8 am to be exact) I'm leaving for Budapest, Hungary. It's a required study tour for our program, which is why we had to be $3000+ for 1 week... I know, my wallet is in some seriously need of CPR. Those of you who know me well know that I'm not one to travel, but I'm actually kinda excited because this would be the first time I would be traveling with friends. The thing is....IT'S ONLY 40 DEGREES OVER THERE!!!! Holy freezingness!! I don't even have that many winter clothes...

Anyway, before I leave, I want to introduce you to one of my favorite lipglosses ever.

Black Radiance Perfect Tone Lipgloss

Yes, it's one of those color-changing lipglosses. The difference is that this actually is a great lipgloss. The texture is amazing!!! The color is very natural looking as well. It doesn't turn bright fuchsia like the rest of mood changing glosses. The best part? It's only $4.95!! It's a freaking steal! I found mine at Walmart along with the rest of the Black Radiance products.

My lips before: Pale and dry looking

After: I only applied it to my bottom lips, as you can easily tell.

After: The whole lips applied. Juicy much?

I think I'm going crazy...

I haven't slept in 6 days...I am exhausted but my mind won't shut up.

Everything's falling apart.
